My View

I may have had to run a mile up a hill for this view, but it was worth it.  This has quickly become one of my favorite shorter runs.  4 miles of beauty in my backyard.

A familiar sight.

For the past couple of months, this has been a familiar sight.  Seth's bat, glove, and hat all ready for his next game.  Even though we were all ready for the season to end, I have to admit that I will kind of miss this sight!

The Aquabats Supershow

It makes me ridiculously proud to see my kids all caught up in the Aquabats Supershow.  Who would have thought?

Discovery

This picture pretty much captures the feel of the day.  The kids had a blast catching tad poles, frogs, and crawdads.  They explored the river and the rocks.  They were able to just be kids and get dirty, and it was fun to watch!

Donatello

Tirsa dressed up Yoda as a Ninja Turtle.  He even had a staff tied to his back.  It didn't last long, but it was cute while it lasted.

Not Old Yet

Heather, Karen, and I jumped off the pier at Ivins Reservoir.  I was glad to see that I still had some Young Megan inside me.  It was so much fun, we had to do it twice!

Midnight 5K

Heather, Ryan, and I ran the midnight 5k at our fastest pace yet.  It was lots of fun and felt great! And don't you love our glow-in-the-dark mouth pieces?

School's Out For Summer

Gotta love the last day of school backpack filled with all the leftover papers and junk.  I ended up throwing the whole thing in the garbage.  Two of the zippers didn't even work anymore.

Kindergarten Graduate

She finished the year with a different teacher and at a different school than she started the year, but she was a great learner all the way through. 

Preschool Program

Cru really enjoyed his first year of preschool with Mrs. Morris.  It's so fun to watch him learn!

Recital Time

Hannah did a great job playing "When I Am Baptized" for her recital piece.  She wants to get comfortable playing church songs so that she can start playing piano at church.  Great job, Hannah!

Spoiled

MaKaty got super spoiled by her Aunt Marcie.  Marcie made her a bunch of vinyl stuff for her bedroom.  My favorite is the wooden sign of MaKaty's name.  SO CUTE!

Weirdest Birthday Party Ever

Just before Hannah's pool party, the weather turned rainy and cold.  The girls still got in the water, but were freezing.  So Rick went to the gas station and got some hot chocolate.  Then after Hannah opened presents, the clouds parted and the sun came out strong.  Their ice cream melted and this picture is of Hannah drinking her ice cream out of her cone through a hot chocolate straw.  Weirdest birthday weather ever!

Glow in the dork.

He insists on blowing raspberries instead of blowing out his candles.  What a dork!

No grass stains for this guy.

Seth's stains come from the red dirt.  He almost always ends up sliding into base at some point.

Seth wanted a radioactive shirt to wear at his birthday party.  I freezer paper stenciled this one.  It's a little sloppy because it was so late when I started the project, but he loved it.  And it glows.

Skylander Giants

Can you tell that he was surprised to get the Skylander Giants game for his birthday?

This makes me look fast.

I'm not as fast as this picture shows, but I am getting better all the time!

Mother's Day

Key Lime Pie

Hannah didn't want cake, so she chose a key lime pie to blow out the candles in...I love that she marches to the beat of her own drum.

Meanwhile back at the ranch...

MaKaty and Hannah and I went to the 50th Anniversary celebration for Uncle Ken and Aunt Barb.  MaKaty seemed right at home on the ranch.  She didn't mind the wooden outhouse bathroom, and she left with a deep desire for a sheep wagon.

It was a day filled with sugar and smiles.  Happy Birthday (party), sweet girl!

Our Little Pyro

I figured since he was so obsessed with having a fire, we might as well make it a useful one.  We cooked tin foil dinners that night.  And he wore his sisters shoes.

Pitching It

It has been so fun to watch Seth learn to pitch this season.  He is really quite good at it, even though it's not something we ever knew he had an interest in.  Great job, Dude!

Activity Days Games

We had a Mother/Daughter activity where we competed in silly games, Olympics style.  Hannah had made the medals at a previous activity.  We decided to do the classic medal kiss for our picture.  And yes, she's taller than I am.  Shut up about it.
