Reason # 1 why I don't ever want an "in ground" trampoline:

Reason 1:Sprinkler under the tramp.  Reasons 2 and 3 involve garbage and rattlesnakes...

New shoes.

After trying on 8 pairs of shoes at the running store, I finally tried these on.  It was love at first sight.  They feel awesome!  Can't wait to run in them!

Shooting Hoops at Sunset

It took us until sunset to get the hoop up.  But there it is.  In all its glory!

Exhausted

After defending our home from evil with his trusty bow, Cru downed his dinner and promptly fell asleep.  True story.

Breakfast.

I had steak for breakfast.  It was the only thing that sounded good after an 11 mile run.

Mud.

At first the kids were bummed when the workers came and spread their beautiful dirt piles all over the yard.  And then Rick hosed it down to keep it from blowing away.  And suddenly a whole new muddy world opened up to them.  It was the squishiest, softest, most beautiful mud ever!  We ended up with a whole neighborhood of muddy feet.  Sorry moms!

Dirt.

We got a delivery of fill dirt today.  It was awesome.  We ended up with two HUGE piles of this stuff.  The kids loved climbing the hills and sinking into the soft dirt.  Another big step toward a back yard!

OUCH!

MaKaty was doing the monkey bars at Grandma's house when she slipped and landed on the top rung of the ladder.  Yikes! 

Kicking back

The rest of them swam until they were exhausted.  And I just kicked back and enjoyed the rest after another long run.

Handprints in Concrete

we all got to place our handprint in the concrete of the basketball hoop.  I am happy every time I see those cute little prints.

Skylanders by Night

When I went to turn all the lights off at the end of the night, this is what I noticed.  The portal of power, all lit up and ready to play.  The kids have been loving their time on this game!

Nixon's Birthday

This little boy LOVES water, so it only made sense to have his party at the splash pad.  He was in heaven!

Reward

The reward for running up the airport hill is that you get to run down it on the way back!

Belated Father's Day present?

We got two recliners from my aunt and uncle.  It was a perfect belated gift for Rick, who loves to kick up his feet after a long day at work!

We love our daddy!

They couldn't have asked for a better daddy.  Happy Father's Day Rick!

Rachael is only pretending that I killed her on this run.  Truth was, she could have run it much faster alone than she did with me, but I was SO glad to have her with me on my first half marathon distance.  2 hours 27 minutes.  Yeah, buddy!

Sunrise on the Track

The only good thing about early morning intervals at the track is the beautiful sunrise!

Puppy Sitting

Grandma is babysitting these puppies for a week, and the kids were more than happy to come and play with them for an hour or so.  They are all adorable.

Book Club Made Me Do It

I am not a big fan of his books, but it was for book club...so I took one for the team.  It wasn't awful...just VERY juvenile and sort of predictable.  A fast read, though!

Fire Pit!

A look at the finished concrete.  We are so excited to get lots of use out of this space!

Using the Hose

We went to the fire station in honor of Madsen's birthday.  Cru's favorite part was getting to spray with the fire hose. 

Reinforced

We had rebar put under the concrete for the RV pad so it would be extra strong.  Almost ready to pour!

A lot of work, but definitely my favorite meal.  Yum!
