Seth was very intense when he was running the bases.  There was no way anyone was going to catch him off guard and throw him out!

Family Home Evening

We hung out around a backyard fire for Family Home Evening.  We didn't have any marshmallows this time, but I see many more backyard fires in our future!

Lord of the Flies

Tirsa made these vine wreaths for the kids on Sunday after dinner.  With that and the dirty face, I thought Seth looked like a character out of Lord of the Flies.

Karen was babysitting while we went on a date.  They made this microphone out of blocks and each took a turn singing for us. 

Froggie Friend

We find toads fairly regularly, but frogs are less common.  Seth was pretty excited about this little guy!

I love how he pops his little tush up in the air when he's at bat.  Whatever works, buddy!

Science Project:

MaKaty's teacher sent her 100th day of school project home with her this weekend.  When I broke the news to her that she would have to throw it away so that it would not attract ants, she was upset.  So she asked me to take a picture. 

 

Kite Festival Day

After spending the morning at the kite festival, we attended a lunch provided by our mortgage company (and Rick won a tv!).  MaKaty and Seth both got their kites up in the air, even though you can't see Seth in this picture.  It was a good day!

Saying Yes.

Usually when MaKaty gets in the car after school she has some big plans for us for the afternoon.  And most of the time I have to squash them.  But this day, when she suggested a picnic lunch at the park... I said "yes".  And I have no regrets.

I admit, I have missed this shirt for the last 5 years!

Not the idea...

We were happy to have the baseball season start in April instead of mid-May because it was so hot last year, but having to wear coats was not quite what I had in mind!

Love/Hate

That's pretty much how it is with us.  I love to have a treadmill, and use it several times a week...but I hate to run on the treadmill.  Hate.  We're working on it.

Missing.

MaKaty allowed Seth to pull out her loose tooth,  and she loved it!

Jaxon and Bria got to celebrate their birthdays at Sunday dinner.  Happy Birthday guys!

I think that meditating with Cru would be incredibly difficult.  There was much more laughing than meditating going on here!

Pitcher?

Second game of the season.  Imagine my surprise when I look up and see Seth on the pitcher's mound.  I had no idea he was even interested in pitching!  He did great for his first time, and has only improved since!  He loves when he gets to pitch an inning or two!

All ready for his first game of the new season.  This time we did Little League instead of a regular city league.  Seth was thrilled about his official MLB shirt and hat!

Baseball Practice

Cru wanted to practice baseball with Seth since it was Seth's first baseball game the next day.  Thankfully, Seth never had this happen at his at-bats!
